Developed for a wide range of projects

Galleries, entrance areas, stairwells and other communal spaces require lighting that is robust and practical to install. With the new Taurac Boston, we are introducing a versatile wall and ceiling luminaire suitable for a wide range of applications. The Boston will soon be available in five versions, each in white and black.

One luminaire, multiple possibilities

The Boston has been developed for applications including apartment galleries, entrance areas, stairwells, corridors and car parks.

Depending on the application, the Boston is available as a standard on/off version, DALI dimmable, with light and motion sensor, with emergency lighting, or with a combination of emergency lighting and sensor.

Several settings can also be adjusted on site. The power can be set to 10, 14 or 18 watts, the colour temperature to 3000 or 4000 K, and the backlight can be switched on or off as required.

The Boston can be mounted on both walls and ceilings.

Practical to install and maintain

The Boston has also been designed with the installer in mind. The luminaire comes with a mounting template, making it easy to mark the drill holes in advance.

Future maintenance has also been taken into account. On versions with emergency lighting, the luminaire can be easily disconnected from the power supply via a plug connection. This makes maintenance work, such as replacing the battery pack, practical and straightforward.

With IP54 and IK08, the Boston is also suitable for a wide range of communal spaces.

Soon to be tested by installers

Specifications only tell part of the story. What really matters is how a new luminaire performs during installation and in everyday use.

That is why the Boston will soon be tested by five installers as part of the Henk & Fred Test Panel. They will work with the luminaire themselves and share their experiences afterwards.

Have you arrived on this page via Henk & Fred? This should give you a first impression of the Boston. Who knows, you might be testing it yourself soon.
